Art of the Backstage.
Narrative works rooted in memory, the psyche, and moments of the in-between.

Marissa Lazaridis is a New York–based artist working primarily in oil. Her work unfolds from what she calls The Backstage, an inner world where memory, imagination, emotion, and lived experience converge.
Drawn from dreams and the psyche, her paintings explore what exists beneath the surface, the feeling in-between people, places, and memories, as an attempt to hold onto what is fleeting.
