Marissa Lazaridis is a New York–based artist working primarily in oil and charcoal. Her work unfolds from what she calls The Backstage — an interior realm where memory, imagination, and emotion converge beneath the surface of ordinary life.

Drawn from dreams, lived experience, and the psyche, her paintings explore the tension between presence and distance, revealing what exists just beyond the visible.
